This tutorial was written by Monti on July 2nd 2012. It's concept is copyrighted to Monti. Any creation you make from my ideas are yours. You may print out this tutorial for your own personal use, but please do not copy it in any way to put online, pass out or rewrite without my permission or worse yet attempt to claim as your own.

This was written for psp 9 but will work in other versions.

For this tutorial you will need

Paint Shop Pro

Tube of your Choice
I am using the art of Melissa Dawn.
You can purchase a license to use her work from CDO

Scrap Kit
I am using a PTU kit called Do You See What I Sea by Kay Miller

Fonts of your Choice
I used Debussy for the main text.
You will also need a small pixel font for the background text. I used Pixel Berry 08/84 Ltd.Edition.

Ok we are ready to start.

REMEMBER TO SAVE OFTEN

Step 1:
In PSP open a new 500 x 500 image with a transparent background.
From your kit open up KMILL_circleframe-1.png. Copy and paste this as a new layer on your canvas.
Go to Image - Resize and resize with the following settings.
Rename this layer Frame.
Open a paper from the kit, I used KMILL_paper-1.jpg.
Select your Magic Wand Tolerance: 0 - Feather: 0 and on your canvas click inside the circle frame.
Go to Selections - Modify - Expand - 5.
Add a new layer to your canvas and move this beneath the Frame layer.
Copy your paper and go back to your canvas. Go to Edit - Paste into Selection.
Do NOT Deselect.
From the kit open KMILL_waterfoam.png. Copy and paste it as a new layer, over the paper but under the frame.
Resize with the same settings we used earlier and move into position.
See below for a placement guide.
Duplicate the waterfoam layer and hide the duplicate for now.
Making sure you are on the original waterfoam layer go to Selections - Invert and press delete on your keyboard.
Do NOT Deselect.
Unhide the duplicate layer and go to Image - Resize with the same settings BUT change to 90%.
Move it down and to the left slightly so all the bottom part of the paper is covered.
Press Delete on your Keyboard then go to Selections - Select None.

Step 2:
Open KMILL_lighthouse.png from the kit.
On your canvas activate your Frame layer (the top one).
Copy and paste the lighthouse as a new layer onto the canvas. Move into position on the right - see my tag as a guide and resize it with the same settings BUT change to 15%.
Duplicate this layer and move the duplicate down beneath the duplicate waterfoam layer.
Activate the original lighthouse layer and add a drop shadow using the settings shown below.
Vertical: 0
Horizontal: 4
Opacity: 30
Blur: 5
Colour: Black

Select your Eraser tool and making sure you are on the top lighthouse layer, erase the bottom of the lighthouse until you can see all of the top waterfoam layer.
It doesn't matter if you go too far as you have the duplicate layer.
Activate the duplicate lighthouse layer and erase the parts that stick out of the frame at the bottom.

Step 3:
Open one of the boats from the kit. I used KMILL_boat-3.png.
Click on the top layer to activate it and then copy and paste as a new layer on your canvas.
Resize - same settings as before BUT change to 8%.

Move it to beneath both waterfoam layers in the layer palette and then add the following drop shadow.
Vertical: 0
Horizontal: 4
Opacity: 30

Colour: Black

Once again click on the top layer to activate it.
